Animate the effect Layer Control

Question

Hello,Can you make the Layer Control effect animatable? I'd like to be able to reference different layers over time in an expression. Since this effect isn't currently animatable, I'm using the Dropdown Menu Control effect using a script to pull all the layers into the list. This is quite laborious, all because there's no stop watch on the effect.Thanks.

My workaround is to make Layer Control effects for each layer I know I’ll need, then animate a slider to control which layer effect gets picked (through simple if/then/else or switch(sliderVal) comparisons). Very tedious when natively being able to animate the Layer Control effect would be so much simpler!
