Compatibility update: After Effects Beta project version is now 24.0.

Greetings beta users,

It’s that time of year again! Starting with today’s update, After Effects Beta will save projects as version 24.0. This means that projects saved in the beta will not be able to be opened in other versions of After Effects (including 23.x public releases) without file conversion.

If you need compatibility with 23.x or before, go to Save As > Save a Copy As 23.x… to create a project file that is compatible with older AE versions. Note that some beta-only features may not be preserved in your project when saving for older versions.

And the usual reminder: while we do our best to maintain stable beta releases, we don’t recommend using beta versions for production work as features and functionality are subject to change. We appreciate your feedback on in-development features, and frequently make updates based on your input.
