Effects control is missing for layer

I couldn't get into the effect controls in build 42 for a layer I was editing with Mocha AE. On reopening the same project with the production version of after affects, it showed effect controls straight away. I couldn't find a way in the beta version of getting into Mocha.

Hi Kaleel,

Thank you for reporting this issue. To confirm, is the Mocha AE effect in the Effect Controls panel missing the button to launch the Mocha window? Or are all the effect controls themselves missing from the plug-in?

 

We are tracking the former issue already ( internally referenced as DVAAE-4212368 ) and the suggested workaround is to click inside the empty space in the Effect Controls panel where the Mocha AE button should be located, which will then launch the Mocha AE window. Please let me know if this works for you as well.

Ah, I think I've worked it out. the Effect Controls panel had been turned off, whereas it was on by default in the production version when I clicked the layer with mocha AE in it. The effects are listed in the layer, but you have to manually turn the effect controls panel on to see the button. Once I did that, I had access to the button and all the other effects.
