Maximise with tilde key unmaximises when switching between tools

When a panel is temporarily maximised with the tilde key '~' it unmaximises as soon as you switch tools (except for Selection, Hand, Zoom oddly). For example maximise then switch from the selection tool to the pen tool to modify a path. It's quite minor, but one of those annoying "I wish it didn't do that" things.

Look for the auto-open panel checkbox and turn that it off. It should fix it.

Hi @Daniel_Peterson,

Thanks for reporting this. If you uncheck "Auto-Open Panel" in the toolbar for both the Type tool and the Pen tool, the unmaximizing behavior should stop occurring. This is a tool preference to show the appropriate panel for the tool if it is not currently shown.

Thanks @JohnColombo17100380, I just looked that up as I didn't notice any change besides the unmaximising capability... then realised all those panels were already opened so it had no effect. Much appreciated.
