New layer to work area (feature request)

When working on lengthy comps it gets really tedious having to trim layers into specific areas, any chance we could see some way of being able to create layers only inside of the specified work area?

Maybe somewhere in the layers panel have a 'work area focus' icon?

    There are some scripts that can trim layers to work area, layers above and below etc - I have these mapped as button in FTToolbar. Works really well. Scripts by Lloyd Alvarez on Aescripts.com.     +1 for a feature like that and I would like to have the ability to toggle the transperancy grid with a keyboard shortcut.
