Non responsive after manipulating the geometry in a 3D layer using the C4D renderer

After changing the extrusion depth of a shape layer, the app was seemingly not stuck, but it became unresponsive. I was able to delete the comp and make a new one but as you can see in the attached screenshot, I got nothing in the comp window. The app became unresponsive when I tried to quit.
