Pro Display XDR and ACES – viewing in HDR

Hello,
somehow I can't get HDR to work in the viewport on a Pro Display XDR in an ACES project. Is this perhaps not possible? if I select p3 d65 1000 nits for example, the image in the viewport only gets darker and flatter...

Is srgb the correct preview mode on the pro display xdr?

I'm not sure if it's possible. But if it is both the viewer and your XDR display need to be set to P3 1000nits. But I think the software also needs to tell the OS that it's sending an HDR signal which AE doesn't have implemented as far as I know.
