Substance materials that are not used in the scene are removed from the project panel during saving

Like in the title. All substance materials that are not used in any 3d meshes are removed from project panel during saving. If it’s intentional it should be a preference during saving? I’m pretty sure I’ll be making projects with a full folder of substance materials - a project material library of sorts - that I’ll want to be switching between while working. It will be impossible if every time I save the project. all unassigned materials disappear :/

    Sorry for the inconvenience. This behavior is definitely not intentional, and the bug was recently introduced. We did fix it on Friday, so it should be available in an updated beta build very soon. I’ll post let you know when it’s available.


    In the meantime, if you have not saved over any existing projects with unused SBSARs, they will reappear once you open them in a build with the fix. If you do save your project in the current build, then the unused SBSARs will not reappear once you have the fix; you’ll have to reimport them again.

    The bug fix is now available in the latest AE Beta 26.2.0x38. You can grab it from the Creative Cloud desktop app.
