The ALT modifier key doesn't change the Pen Tool to the Convert Vertex Tool anymore

When editing paths with the Pen Tool enabled, the ALT modifier key doesn't switch to the Convert Vertex Tool anymore, but triggers the Camera Tool instead, making it impossible to convert vertices.

Temporary solution by the AE Team: "One option for now is to use the number keys to trigger the camera rather than alt/option." – you'll find this preference under the new "3D" section in AE's preferences.
