Question

Bug when animating a layer which is rigParented, when I skew or rotate the parent layer.

Hello,
There is a bug when a layer is rigParented to another, when I skew or rotate the parent layer.
Here's some steps to reproduce the bug:

1. Parent a layer to another.
2. Animate the parent with a classic Tween. Apply a skew on the last keyframe
3. Animate the child with a classic Tween. With the keyframes at the same
timings than the parent. Animate the position of the child. There is a shift on
the position of the child between the ending keyframe and the frame juste
before.
Does someone has the same issue ? It seems to be caused by the skew / rotating.

When you convert the child animation in frame-by-frame, the animation becomes correct.

I tried to change the tweening options in the frame properties with no result.

Thanks !

Thanks for reporting. We could reproduce the issue at our end and we are investigating the same.

Hello, I have found another bug concerning RigParent and Drawing Objects.

Here are the steps to reproduce it.

1: Make a symbol and animate it's position with a classic Tween.

2: Add a new empty Layer.

3: Create a Drawing Object on this new layer.

4: Parent this layer to the animated layer with the symbol.

5: Double-click on the drawing object to edit in place its shape.

6: The drawing object "jumps" to a totally different place.

I don't know if parenting is supposed to work with Drawing Objects or shapes, but it would be very useful !

I will report this bug also to the dev team with the wishform.

Thanks !

Hi, could you kindly provide a screen recording? I can't reproduce the issue on my end.

Thank you, I can see the bug now and able to reproduce it as well. I tried to parent the layers first before skewing the parent but the order seems irrelevant, the error still shows up. Looks like the only workaround is indeed converting the tweens to keyframes.
