Question

How to convert multiple frames to symbol in adobe animate?

Once i was watching a stream from a guy who makes really good animation, and i saw he could make an motion interpolation with multiple frames(which normally is impossible because only one frame can be converted to symbol, yet he managed to convert all of them to one symbol), and when i saw how he did it i realized he used a command called "FLASHWIP FrameToSymbol". I tried looking for it on the internet but couldn't find anything. I really wanted to make some good effects with this command, such as making a simple animation then making it automatically move from one spot to another like an motion interpolation, but the best way i know is to make it manually. Is there any way to convert more than one frame to symbol so i can make those things? If not normally, is there a way to get any similar command? And how? I'm new to this.

I know the original post was from 2021 but it's 2023 and I still found myself in the same situation. Although you can do the FLASHWIP through commands and I actually know how to find it. It's #5 on this list and the command actually runs parallel with a plugin that is needed. You see the program listed here: https://midgetsausage.newgrounds.com/news/post/1261327

But I wouldn't recommend it. This was originaly made for flash I believe and is not perfect. Instead, there is a plugin in the Creative Cloud that does just this. It's call "Swap All" and basically has identical functions but without command. Cheers and enjoy. Here is the link to the Adobe plugin, free too.

You can use the default Convert Layers to Symbol by selecting a bunch of layers and choosing it from the context menu or you can use Timeline Block To Symbol.

i've not heard of that but animate is extremely customizable.  anyone that understands jsfl (which is similar to actionscript and javascript), can create their own commands.

otoh, anyone trying to teach would include a link to any customized commands, so users can download it.  it would be irresponsible to expect users to create their own jsfl file(s).
