Audition missing plugin for dynamic link?

Hello all,

I have been trying to create a dynamic link from my Premiere video file into Audition as I have a lot of audio to work with for this project (a virtual choir). When I create choose to edit the sequence in Audition via dynamic link Audition will open up and then give me an error message that the file is not supported by any registered plugins. Both are recent installations that are up-to date. I can't find anything regarding plugins to allow dynamic linking so it makes me think there is an issue with one of the individual media files, but it does not give me any information as to what is actually wrong. Audition frequently crashes if I try to interact with the error message as well.

Since this is about the interaction between Audition and Premiere, it's not exactly my area of a huge amount of expertise, but there are a couple of things: I get the impression that the information about dynamic linking isn't made as clear as perhaps it might be - there's a Premiere thread that pretty much clears this up as an issue here. Hopefully you knew that - but various things about it have changed over time so even if it isn't strictly relevant it's safer to mention it anyway, and that thread does put it pretty succinctly. The other thing is that there was at one stage a problem with any sort of linking if you were using a Mac - but as far as I know that's been solved. It might help if we knew what platform you are using...
