Sir I've seen you post all over these forums. 90% of the time your are unhelpful and misleading. I suggest you read the other comments on posts you responded to, because those are the people that actually helped.

I suggest you study some of the tutorials, but it sounds as though you haven't made a delete selection - if you do that, it will only delete what you've highlighted and move everything else up.

I don't know what you are basing your comments on, but my 2,780 upvotes refutes your allegations somewhat. You appear to have nothing positive to add, so please keep your libellous comments to yourself.

Im trying to removes gaps in a podcast with 5 audio tracks in total. I removed all the silences, but is there a way to remove all the completely quiet parts/ gaps on the timeline? I googled it and have not found any results. I tried the Ripple delete and the only option it gives me is to delete everything on my timeline, which is not great.

I suggest that you look into Ripple Delete. There are lots of posts about this - typically this one - but there are many more, as a search would reveal (searching is easier using Google instead of the forum search!).
