Opening/creating multitrack session in v 24.2 causes antivirus to shutdown Audition

Running Windows 10 and using the latest version of Audition (24.2), the program is shut down by my employer's antivirus (Sophos Endpoint Agent) whenever I open or create a new multitrack session with the error "Lockdown - malicious behavior prevented in Adobe Audition." This problem began when I updated to 24.2, and ONLY occurs with this version. I am able to work normally in 23.5, which I have installed seperately.

I've seen no other posts about this, and I cannot replicate it on other work computers with the same version of Audition installed.

Any suggestions or simular experiences? Am I at the mercy of my employer's system administrators and their chosen security program? Trying to avoid reinstall if possible, as it tends to wipe out all of my settings and preferences.

I have my IT department working on this.. turning SOPHOS OFF worked  but the College isn't interested in keeping sophos off...    they have submitted a ticket with Sophos as they think they've pinpointed it to the exe file... but no definitive wod yet.

No other posts? Somebody else raised this only the other day - here. I have no update on the situation, so I'm not sure whether this is just a false positive, or something that Adobe's caused without realising it...
