You may use a recent version of Bridge.

Try preferably the latest one Bridge 2019 (Version 9.0)

hello,

thank you for you answer

This my question.

My image sets keywords in the bridge cs6

But I want to search for images from other computers with keywords.

Unable to search

Only computers with keywords in that image can search for them successfully.

thank you

Hi,

Maybe you need to understand how Bridge works:

When you add a Keyword or other Metadata (date, description, author ...etc) Bridge stores these on the image itself; it embeds them within using a XML format. Try to open an image with a simple text editor (Notepad++) you'll find all metadata you added/modified including your Keywords.

With that said, You may browse/search your images using Keywords with Bridge or a Metadata Browser. But a mere OS files explorer can search files only by a few file properties like Name, and size.

So to answer your question, to search your images by Keyword, you need Bridge or a Metadata Browser installed in the computer.

I might be wrong but try these things.

I'm new to Bridge but learned a little bit.

Good to read:

  1. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extensible_Metadata_Platform
  2. https://www.google.com/search?q=Resource+Description+Framework
  3. https://iptc.org/standards/photo-metadata/iptc-standard/
  4. https://www.google.com/search?q=metadata+browser

I hope this helps
