100% Previews - please could you provide an option to switch this off in the preferences?

I do not need 100% previews, as I am able to tell if my shots are in focus or not from the monitor sized previews.

The generation of these files is extermely wasteful of my time and resources.

 

I have had my SSD hard disk replaced with 2TB one and have upgraded my graphics card in an attempt to speed up my machine because of this, but the generation of these files in the cache chews my processor up every time (up to 98%). I often have shoots of 300 images or more, and I have to upload the images, view them in Bridge and walk away for an hour whilst 100% previews does its thing.

I've downloaded the free trial of ACDSee which is a hell of a lot faster and am contemplating buying it now, but I would rather Bridge just worked as it used to, as I am comfortable with the functionality of it otherwise.

Please send feedback up the chain for the next update.

    Thank you for the link, but I found myself in a perpetual loop of not being able to post there.

     

    The post form asked me to sign in (screengrab 1), clicked on that and sign in options appeared (screengrab 2), selected Photoshop family account, then a box appeared telling me I was already signed in (screengrab 3), and to close the pop up window.
    Upon doing this, I was taken back to the original screen asking me to sign in (screengrab 1), please repeat the process ad infinitum.
