2023 Bridge Deleting My RAW files with no trace

I use Adobe Bridge to proof my photos and quick edit in camera raw and I've noticed since Tuesday, every time I'm doing my usual workflow my files keep disappearing completely from my hard drive that I work on. I don't delete them accidentally or anything but I just went through and made selects from a 600 photo gallery and I go to a different folder and go back to it and the photos are completely gone!!! It says files cannot be found. I go to my hard drive and they are gone from there too. Nothing in my trash can. I'm getting so frustrated because I've spent so much time going through these images already. Help!!!

Hi @marinavail

There is obviously something going on with your system, but I seriously doubt that it's Bridge. All Bridge can do is look at what's there in any given folder found in any local drive. Period. It has no mechanism to alter a pixel or delete a file without your input. But again, obviously, something is going on because you are losing files.

Are the files you are looking at on a server? If so, that might be an issue because Bridge was never designed to work with Servers or even some NAS drives.

Also, are you on a Mac or PC?

Let's get more information and see what we can do to help.
