Adding keywords to items in library

Hello, I'm used to using Bridge with local files on my HD, but I'm on a new team and we are trying to use Bridge in conjunction with Adobe Libraries.

Currently, I'm not able to add Keywords to media items that are in a Library. When I select the image, and try to check the box on the Keyword, it doesn't fill in and it doesn't add the keyword to the image. It works perfectly when I select an item on my computer's hard drive.

Does anyone know why I'm unable to add Keywords to items in the Library? I am running the latest version of Bridge on MacOS 12.5. I appreciate any help.

Correct answer Lumigraphics

Library items cannot be edited directly, and most metadata cannot be viewed, without downloading the asset.

Thank you for the reply. Is there a workaround for this? I really need to use Keywords to help organize a bunch of images into categories for a huge project, something I thought Bridge would have been perfect for.

No workaround. Edit the files before you upload them to Libraries. You still won't be able to see or filter on keywords for files in a Library.
