Adobe Bridge 2025 problem crash or freeze

When is this application going to be sorted into something usable?

I installed Bridge 2025 and it opens. As soon as I click on anything to navigate it comes up with the message 'Not Responding'

Have tried myriad things to get it to work.

The only thing that gets it workable is deleting the Bridge 2025 folder in Roaming Data.

That lasts for one session. Re Open Bridge and guess what?

'Not Responding'

Seriously,

Fix the program or delete it from your inventory.

I have wasted SO MUCH TIME on this issue and $$$ with my computer guy, trying to figure this problem out!  None of the issue problems seem to work and now it appears that even if I try to install an earlier version, I'm forever stuck in this Bridge 2025 15.0.2 problem!

I found this solution on Reddit, and it worked for me! I'm using Windows 10.

Convoluted fix:

  1. Uninstall all versions of bridge.
  2. Go to Program Files, delete all Bridge folders and contents.
  3. Search C drive for "Bridge," remove all Bridge folders and contents in User/AppData/Roaming/Adobe.
  4. Install Bridge 2025 and now it just works.

Thanks a bunch for the solution for Windows. I'm on a Mac so I'll try this .

ITS OUTRAGEOUS that Adobe can't figure this out--even though I have repeatedly sent them the Crash report. I'll report back if this works.

Just chiming in, since last update Bridge stopped working. It freezes on startup, then crashes.

We have a known issue with latest Substance3DViewer plugin for Photoshop, which was causing Bridge to crash, which has been fixed in latest Bridge(15.0.2).

If you still facing the same issue, could you help with the following, to further isolate the issue,:

  • Have you installed the Photoshop BETA along with the Adobe Bridge?
  • If yes,
    • Can you try moving the Substance3DViewerForPs.plugin present at the location “/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Plug-Ins/CC/File Formats”, to another location and then relaunch the Bridge?
    • And/ Or, can you try uninstalling the PS BETA and check if you are still facing the crash?

Adobe Bridge 2024/2025 is no longer working with my Dell Precision 7560 i9-11950H running Windows 10 Enterprise. It's a gov machine so I can't customize for work arounds. I used to have to disconnect graphics stuff to get Bridge to work on my Acer home computer but now the Acer is all good with Bridge 2025. Basically, home good work bad when it used to be the other way around.

Same problem here as well. Went nuclear - completely reinstalled Adobe Creative Cloud. No dice. Finally, Adobe support had me create a test user profile and install Bridge there. Believe it or not, it worked. The challenge, though, is that now they want me to take time port my entire current profile, apps, docs, prefs, everythign to the new profile. All to get Adobe Bridge to work.

How did you contact support? In my biggest folder with  577 MB of images, Bridge freezes up, won't allow files to be moved, and loses the file stack. This has been happening for the longest time, no matter which version. The small folders work fine. It has a very hard time with the big folders.

I used the Adobe Virtual Assistant in Adobe Help. When the Virtual Assistant could not help me it passed me on to a human assistant.

Exactly the same problem for me. Gave Adobe support remote access to my computer but after about an hour of trying to fix it they disappeared. Not impressed.

I am having the same issue.  I first thought my own hardware was at issue. Bridge 2025 only works by using Campatibility mode in Windows 11.  I'm and back to Bridge 2024 and the issue is solved.  BTW DXO PureRAW 4 is in the same boat after its most recent update.  We are not beta testers. We are paying for software and using it as  professionals.  Anyone else have a fix?

Have the same problem. It only works, when use the "compatibility modus" to start in Windows 11.

Exactly...and we are paying how month per month for this? Do I need to revert to 2024? I mean, hard can they mess up Bridge?
