Adobe Bridge CC 2018 does not retain its settings

Two changes/losses

- The 'file info' dialogue box does not retain any adjusted shape/size i.e. widened to view relevant information, when Bridge is closed and re-opened - as it used to do.  Tiresome to re-size the dialogue box each time it is opened.  Surely this is not an improvement, or have I missed a new setting in preferences ?

- The last used template appeared for picking again when a new set of images were picked for adding metadata, etc.  Now, like a Ps, you have to click on the templates button and scroll to the template of choice - a lot slower if the last template if to be picked.  Why has this gone ?
