After the latest update (14.1.1.274) Bridge states that it is 'Initializing video library' in the lower left hand corner, after which a circle start spinning. Nothing else happens after that. The app has been working great for many years. Help?

  • Is there any video/audio file on Desktop or external drive? On the desktop yes, on one of the external drives I'm trying to use no.
  • Please check in activity monitor, whether dynamiclinkmediaserver process is running or not. Dynamiclinkmediaserver does not seem to be running. See attachment.
  • . Please install Bridge 14.1 and check whether issue is reproducible or not. I have Bridge 14.1.1 installed. I uninstalled it and then reinstalled it. Should I try to step back to an earlier version?

Hi @default37816883u9o4jz ,

Thanks for sharing the details.

Please try the following steps -

  • Go to your System Preferences
  • Select Security & Privacy
  • Select the Full Disk Access option
  • Click on the "+" symbol and provide the admin permission
  • This will open Mac window, add Adobe Bridge 2024 application to get the full access.
  • Adobe Bridge 2024 will be added and make sure it's enabled
  • Select Security & Privacy
  • Select Files and Folders option
  • Select Adobe Bridge 2024
  • Enable all the folders and volumes

Please try and let us know if this resolves the issue or not.

Thanks,

Bridge Team

Hi, I'm having the same problem with Bridge. The program "sees" some files in the default "Pictures" folder on my hard drive for example but will not read files or folders on my desktop or any external drives. I'm running version 14.1.1 on a MacBook Pro with OS Sonoma 14.5
