Question

Adobe Bridge randomly changing images (Mac)

it works fine for 30 minutes and randomly at some point will start to act up uncontrolably like you see in the video. there's nothing i can do except wait until it's done acting up.

to note, it's a 5000 photos folder, but in all cases it shouldn't be doing that and it's a reoccuring problem that has happened in 400 photos folders.

what should i do?

Hi there,

Sorry about the trouble that you see with Adobe Bridge. We're here to help.

Which version of Bridge and macOS are you using? Where are theimages saved, in the computer's local storage or an external drive? Did the issue start happening after any update of Bridge? Have you tried any troubleshooting steps so far?

Please go to the System Preferences for your Mac, then Security and Privacy, then select the Privacy tab. Then select Accessibility from the list to the left & check if Bridge is added to the list with a checkmark in front of it. If Bridge is not a part of the list, please add it by unlocking the window first using the lock at the bottom left, then clicking the + icon & navigating to the Applications folder. Also, grant permissions to Bridge under Full disk access located in the same list as Accessibility. Once done, restart the Mac & check if it helps.

You may also try and reset Bridge preferences;

Quit Bridge (if running). Just before clicking on Bridge in the Dock or double-clicking the application for the Mac, press Command-Option-Shift. Then open Bridge, but keep your fingers on those keys until you see a window. From the window, choose "Reset Preferences," "Entire Thumbnail Cache," and "Reset Standard Workspaces." In your case, select "Reset Preferences."

Let us know if this helps.

Thanks
