Alternatives to Box Sync (EOL announced for Dec 2026)

Question

What cloud storage solutions are people using successfully with Bridge? Using Box Sync to store files locally and in the cloud has been working beautifully for us for years, but they just announced they will no longer support it after December 2026. Box Drive not working with Bridge is a known limitation, so unless they fix it before then, we'll need to find a different solution. What is working for folks, and what services have you run into issues with? My team is primarily on Macs.

Cloud storage in general is problematic with Adobe products. Adobe doesn't support cloud usage.

Bridge can only work with files stored locally. But with the cloud, you always have two locations- local and the cloud server. These may not be in sync (let's say you upload or delete files from a second device), and sometimes the cloud app will actually use dummy placeholders instead of actual files to save disk space.

There are APIs available which essentially force a sync and/or download when a folder is accessed, so you know that the local app is seeing the correct data. If those aren't used then who knows what you will get? We frequently see reports on these boards of problems due to sync issues.

Just a note of caution, YMMV, etc etc.
