Hello, Bridge 13.0.1 offers native M1 suppport, you should upgrade to that version, but be informed that while it supports a modern UI with multiple content tabs, it has for the moment lost the multiple windows feature. It might be wise to keep a copy of V12 if you need that feature.

A year later now, still no native M1 support for  Bridge.  Thanks Adobe, for always being there.

And now we have the M2 and yet still no updated native Bridge app from adobe. Apple can release a new version of a physical chip faster than you can release a working native app for bridge. shame. i dont understand why bridge gets no love compared to LR. such a better product.

Did you see the pinned posts about the new Bridge beta? That's going to be M1-native.

Bridge is also painfully absurdly laughably slow for me after updating to the latest high end macbook pro m1 max.  Completely unusuable.  Same issue on my girlfriend's new m1 computer.  And it's been 5 months since we upgraded.

Please please please please please please please fix it.  Work is so difficult without it.

We've been using Xnview that runs through rosetta which is blazingly fast, faster than any version of Bridge has ever run.  Sadly its interface is clunky and confusing.

I'm not sure why it isn't an easy fix... Bridge is a glorified file browser optimised for photo.  Unthinkable, bizarre, and deeply dissapointing that it hasn't been updated yet.  Pleeeeeeaaaaaase!!!!

Could you please share the following details to help us investigate the issue..

  • Bridge and ACR version
  • MAC OS version
  • Any particular operation / workflow for which you are experiencing slowness.

Thanks,

Nearly a year on from the OP, and Bridge is still incredibly slow.

Why can't Adobe see that it's still a vital tool for many photographers?

Hi,
Thanks a lot for your feedback.
Please try updating to ACR 14.3 release, that should fix the issue.
Let us know if you still face the same.

Thanks,
Bridge Team.

Hey Bridge Team,  I tried installing ACR143.5 and it still doesn't work. Bridge is slow as ever. It takes 5 minutes to just open the application.

When is Adobe patching Bridge for M1?

Its been more than 1 year that Apple released M1, and the Giant Adobe can't update Bridge? Or Adobe just don't care? Most likely) Meanwhile the same Adobe religiously take its share from bank account. I paid  a full price for a half service. Great profit policy Adobe!

I am having a ton of issues (slow) trying to run bridge on M1 macmini. I would not have upgraded if I would have known. Is there any update on an M1 verison of bridge?

Hi there,

Have you tried running Bridge natively on your M1 computer? You may try updating Bridge to version 11.1 through the Creative Cloud app and let us know how it goes.

Regards,
Sahil

Hi Sahil,

I've just updated Bridge to last version 11.1, but this version is not optimized for M1 SOOC like Photoshop and the other Apps of my Photography Plan. Here a screenshot of my Activity Monitor under macOS Big Sur 11.4:

Waiting for news on Bridge M1 Version.
