Assigning labels working intermittently

Question

About a week ago, assigning labels started working only intermittently. Whether I use a keyboard shortcut OR right click on the image to assign a label. I tried uninstalling, installing previous versions, removing my cache and preferences, and nothing solves it. This problem is there no matter what kind of image I select--JPEG or TIFF--and where it is located. Crazy that this kind of bug is unresolved. Has anyone been able to fix it? When I called the tech support line and selected "help with another program," the phone system hung up on me because it said no help was available. Insane. Any help appreciated. Thanks!

Are you trying to apply label on Single or multiples file?
Your files are on local drive or network drive
