'Auto' setting in ACR

Oh my goodness, why do simple things need to change. 

ACR 2020 under Bridge. 

How do i set an 'auto' preset so I dont have to 'select all' and 'auto' when i open my files? 

the new 'raw defaults' is an absolute beast, why do i have to create a 'profile' to save my edits to and why dont they work right? Cant i just "set as new CR Default"???!
