Batch Rename deleted XMP files for RAW photos
I did a batch rename of a collection that included RAW and Jpeg images. After the rename, all the XMP files associated with the RAW photos were gone. The Jpegs photos all had the renamed XMP information.
I have read in other posts that sometimes the XMP can have the wrong name and not associate with the files after a rename, but in this case the XMPs are no longer there at all.
Not sure if there is a way to recover those XMP files, or what I can do in the future to prevent this from happening . I like the workflow of working in Bridge and Camera Raw, but this would be a deal breaker if there is no way to safe guard against losing information without any warning.
