Using Adobe Bridge to edit my raw images in camera raw. After editing the whole album I go back and batch rename.... weird thing is as it renames them it takes all the editing away! Any ideas? Has this happened to someone before? Help me troubleshoot and figure out what's going on? It's never happened before 😩 and right now during peek season is not the time to deal with it! Help!

Hello @JLCphotographer

Are you still facing this issue with the latest version of Bridge?

Thanks,

Hi @JLCphotographer

Could you please share the following details to help us investigate the issue.

- Screenshot of batch configuration dialogue

- Enable show hidden file and check if corresponding xmp files are getting renamed <share screenshot of the same>

- Also if xmp files are getting renamed correctly, try purging the cache of the file if that solves the issue.

Thanks,

Bridge Team

Interesting.

The edits did not go away, but my guess is that when you changed the name of the original image, it disassociated from the accompanying xmp files that held the adjustments. This should be a bug that needs to be fixed immediately.

In the meantime, see if you can rename the xmp files to be the same as the raw files, or can you rename the original raw files back to what they were before the name change?

FWIW, I ALWAYS convert my images into DNG format to contain the adjustments so that they do not get lost or disassociated. I know that's not the solution at this moment but something to consider in general for the future.
