Batch Rename Malfunction

This is a regular problem I have been having with batch rename. If I need to rename very many files or the same files again because I made a typo or something else silly like a had a photo out of queue, batch rename will freeze indefinitely and then I have to close adobe bridge out entirely, force close it, and then start all over and there is no telling if it will work if I try it again. This has been happening for MONTHS. I am a full time photographer and I am at my wit's end with Bridge. As useful of a tool as it CAN be, the hiccups are starting to outweight the benefits. On a Macbook pro 2019 version on Venture 13.4.

    Could you share the following details about the issue:

    - Bridge version
    - Screenshot of batch configuration dialogue

    - Number of files on which you are applying batch rename.
    - Is the issue specific to particular files/format?
