Bridge 13 SUPER SLOW???

I have a fairly new MacBook Pro and it is running the latest OS.

I use BRIDGE because Lightroom is just TOO SLOW!!!! Now, with this latest update, I notice bridge is now LOOKING more and more like Lightroom. And with that, I have also noticed that BRIDGE 13 is MUCH slower than Bridge 12.

NOW, this could be because of BUGS....this could be for a whole list of reasons. But, I did noticed that several things that I had had turned off in the previous version is NOW back on. So, I went through and turned it all off again.

This got me to THINKING, could someone make a list of all the things in BRIDGE that slows it down? That shuld would be helpful!!!

Fortunately these settings are built into Bridge. If you go to the dropdown menu for Thumbnail Generation, just copy those settings.

What you do not state is how many images are in the folder you are working in. I seldom have more than 100, but there are people who have thousands and thousands of images. The problem is that Bridge has to generate a thumbnail for all of those images, and simply, that will slow it down.

It's been my experience that 13 is considerably faster than 12, and I have no issues with LR Classic's speed, and I have just under 100,000 images there. Part of any speed judgment is expectations; the other part is comparing apples to oranges.

Wait, you cannot "open" files in Bridge.

Are you saying you have 20 images in Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) at a time?
