Bridge 14.0.3 + Sonoma 14.4 consistently freezes

m3 max with Sonoma 14.4 and Bridge 14.0.3 freezes every time i tab out to finder and back; or, whenever i'm 'done' doing sth

so i am checking a bunch of files, comparing processed out JPGs with RAW folders making sure all files are there and meta data appended etc 

bridge checks 1 folder with up to 7 or 8 subfolder that contain around 2500 jpgs 

not that much

ill tab in to Finder to verify amounts are correct with corresponding RAW folder an when i go back to Bridge i get the beach ball and need to force quit. 

i waited up to 5 minutes for the beach ball to go / bridge to un-freeze

it happens every time

i only have bridge and finder open
