bridge 14.1 File renaming problems on desktop - Mac OS Ventura

I believe this is a caching issue. Have you tried to rebuild the cache? (Tools (menu) -> Cache -> Purge cache for "xxx"

Here's the deal: this is no different than when you go to a website that has changed since you first opened it. News pages in web browsers are a good example. If you open one of these and the stories change, to see these stories, you need to refresh the page. 

When you first open a window in Bridge to a given folder, it knows what that folder was like when you opened it. It doesn't know if you have made changes outside of that folder (e.g., in the Finder or Explorer). You can either Purge the cache (see above) or close and reopen that window/Content Tab.
