Question

Bridge 14 beta silently auto-deletes unavailable network Favorites

I thought we had this resolved several versions ago? :sigh:

Bridge 14.0.0.57 beta is auto-deleting network Favorites that are unavailable at launch. We went through a whole big thing in PR with a previous version.

DO NOT DELETE FAVORITES!!!! EVER!!!

Silent deletion is even worse. You should just grey them out.

Thank you for reporting the issue to us. We’ve added this to our engineering issue pipeline.

I'm having the same problem. It was never an issue before. I like to shut down my mac nightly to clear out all cache files. Every morning, my favorites are gone. I try to reset the workspace, but it does not restore what was lost.

Hi Lumigraphics,

That's not happening to me. Some of my favorites are on my home computer, and others are on an external drive. (although that external drive is never removed). I know that in the past, Bridge has not dealt well with Favorites on removed drives. Are the Favorites you have that are being removed on such a drive?

These are network locations. I'm using a Mac now, connecting to both Windows Server and Windows Professional shares over Ethernet.

I almost never use the Folders panel, since I'm accessing the same set of folders over and over. Everything is in Favorites.

Its not happening in Bridge 12, I have pretty much skipped Bridge 13 other than updating my scripts for compatibility. Thought I would do some testing on the Bridge 14 beta to see if I could move to it when the release version is out.
