Bridge ignores the new Light adjustment layer in PSD files

I have found what appears to be a compatibility issue between Photoshop's new Light adjustment layer and Adobe Bridge.

Bridge version: 16.0.7.36
Photoshop: Current version with the new Light adjustment layer
Windows 11 Pro 25H2

I edited a PSD in Photoshop and added a Light adjustment layer as the final tonal adjustment. In my case, the settings included approximately Exposure +0.39, Shadows +55, Highlights -13 and Whites +24.

The image looks correct in Photoshop, but Bridge displays the PSD as if the Light adjustment layer does not exist. The difference is substantial, not just a small color-management difference.

I was able to reproduce and isolate the problem:

  1. Open the layered PSD in Photoshop with the Light adjustment layer enabled.
  2. Save the PSD.
  3. View the PSD in Bridge. The effect of the Light adjustment layer is missing.
  4. Export the PSD to JPEG from Bridge. The exported JPEG also lacks the Light adjustment, so this is not only a Bridge thumbnail/preview issue.
  5. Disable the Light adjustment layer in Photoshop. Photoshop now looks exactly like the incorrect version shown by Bridge.
  6. Re-enable the Light layer and flatten a copy of the PSD. Bridge now displays the image correctly.
  7. Alternatively, create a merged visible pixel layer at the top of the PSD using Ctrl+Alt+Shift+E, while keeping all original layers underneath. Bridge then also displays and exports the image correctly.

I also tested Maximize PSD and PSB File Compatibility = Always, saved the PSD again, and this did not resolve the problem.

This strongly suggests that Bridge 16.0.7.36 is not correctly rendering Photoshop's new Light adjustment layer in layered PSD files.

Temporary workaround: Create a merged visible pixel layer at the top of the PSD before using the file in Bridge. This allows the original editable layers, including the Light adjustment layer, to remain in the PSD while Bridge displays and exports the correct final appearance.
