Hi All,

Bridge is completely frozen, can't access any of my images - NOTHING works. I have to force quit to get out. I open it up again and try to select something, it does and then freezes. PS and LR work as advertised, only bridge is affected. Tried to go to Adobe support - what a joke ! It was a complete run-around. It would ask a question and direct you to a page which would ask the same question and then send you back to the page you were just on and asks the same question all over again.

If I un-install bridge will I also lose all of my images ?

any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Tom Vollick

    Dave,

I un-installed and re-installed Bridge, It worked for about 1 minute and then froze again. Had to force quit to close.

I could not find a phone number for Adobe support, did they stop offering help by phone ?, their web site is worthless.

    Hi

Did you try the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool?

If Bridge will start - try going to Bridge Preferences > Advanced and check "Use software rendering". If that resolves it then you need to look at your graphics card driver.

If it is only freezing with Raw files - go to camera raw preferences and try unchecking "Use Graphics Processor"

You can contact chat. Use this link. support

Choose your plan then Adobe Bridge > Troubleshoot. The chat and telephone options are at the bottom of the page.

Try point #2 below, as uninstalling may not fix the issue by itself:

Troubleshoot Adobe Bridge for errors and freezes

    Hi Tom

I've moved your post from the Photoshop to the Bridge forum where you are more likely to get specific help with your issue.

As far as uninstalling and reinstalling Bridge is concerned , you should not lose any images. Bridge just acts as a viewer on your existing folders which contain your images. If you remove Bridge, those folders remain.

    Dave,

    Thank you.

I could not find a “Bridge” forum, that’s why I used PS. Do you think un-installing and re-installing would possibly solve my problem ?

    Thanks Again,

It is certainly worth a try and if you do it from the desktop app - fairly painless.
