Bridge 2019 Drop down menus not working

I downloaded Bridge 2019 and now the drop down menus are not working properly.

For example, for the crop tool, there's a drop down menu to choose the crop proportion. When I click on the Crop Tool icon, the drop down menu either fails to appear or it flashes on the screen and disappears before I can make a choice.

Same happens to all the drop down menus for the program's commands on top: File - Edit - Image - Layer etc.

This has never happened before, and I've been using Bridge since Day One.

I hope you have a fix for this. It's impossible to work like this.

I have the latest Photoshop and Lightroom versions installed, btw. And am not opening anything in Lightroom or Photoshop first.

Running OS 10.12.6 on a Macbook Pro, late 2017.

Thanks for your help!

There is no crop tool in Bridge, there is in Adobe Camera Raw, try that forum.

Try resetting your Bridge preferences.

Jim

Start Adobe Bridge and immediately press Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows) or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS) until the Reset Settings dialog box appears. Select all three options--Reset Preferences, Reset Standard Workspaces, and Purge Entire Thumbnail Cache--and then click OK
