Bridge 2022 (12.0.1.246) importing camera operating files

I use a Mac. Camera brand is Nikon (2-D500's and a D5500).
Bridge photo downloader has been importing DCIM, D500 and 101ND500 files since upgrade. Same from the D5500. I can uncheck them to prevent importing to Bridge however if I forget I end up with multiple copies of each image and HUGE folder.
