Bridge 2022 very Slow

Salutations,
Bridge was already slow, with the very latest version it got even slower.
With folders of 800-900 images (raw) it cannot be used for sorting and rating photos.
Also setting the fastest parameters for previews.
Scrolling in full screen freezes, or is very slow (5-7 seconds to scroll between one photo and another!)
Also for such large folders I don't know why it doesn't keep the preview in mind. (values in the options all ok)
I tried to clear the cache of that folder and regenerate it from the beginning, but with no solution.

Will you solve the problem with the next version?
So I can't use it.

Thank you

Same here, Adobe bridge 2024 is so slow and incredibly frustrating.  Is this why Adobe switched from buying software to endless subscription revenues, to do nothing?  Fix this or I am going to switch and find some other solution.  Current bridge is nearly unusable.

I have been struggling with newer versions of Bridge for months.  I have both 14.0.1 and 13.05 on my system and they are both unusable.  I've tried all of the fixes like clearing cache, hard reset, etc.  None have helped.  I have my cache on a super fast NVMe solid state drive.  Nothing helps.  I have a quad core 3.8 GHz system with 32GB.  This setup should scream.  And it did with older versions.  This is intolerable.  What can we do?

I don't think it's only a Mac issue. Bridge for me is unusuable. With folders of around 1000 RAW files, each 50-60MB, it take a couple of seconds after each click (label, grade, preview etc.)

At the moment my workflow is:
- create seperate folder only with preview jpgs. label jpgs,
- then in Windows explorer select RAW files manually which are next to jpgs (same name). Sucks.

Running:
Intel i5-12600k
64GB RAM 3600Mhz  cl 16,
RTX 2080 Super 8 GB
SSDs 4000MB/s read spead and above
Win 11

Thanks, I do have Camera Raw installed, always had. Currently ver 15.3. But Bridge is still really slow.

Dang, I thought it was because I had to many files on my hard drive so I moved up to a 7200RPM drive from 5400rpm, of course that did nothing but heat up my office.

Upgrades are supposed to make things run better not worse.

Hello, Bridge 13.0.1 has native M1 suppport that should fix most slowness issues on machines running those processors, you should upgrade to that version, but be informed that while it supports a modern UI with multiple content tabs, it has for the moment lost the multiple windows feature. It might be wise to keep a copy of V12 if you need that feature.

Hi, users of Apple Silicon chips experiencing slowness issues should try the latest Beta build of Bridge, as there is native support for M1 chips: https://community.adobe.com/t5/bridge-discussions/an-update-for-the-adobe-bridge-beta-is-now-available/td-p/13251390

I appears that the bridge being unusably slow isn't a priority issue to fix for adobe. It's always been slow. I believe it was initially created to give an excuse to removing thumbnail images of PSDs in explorer - creating the necessity to have the bridge in order to preview a PSD rather than having to open the file to see what it is.

Found a solution (on Windows). Go to Defender/Firewall and create a new rule which forbids bridge.exe and bridgeproxy.exe the internet access. No crazy reload times, no empty looking folder, no stuttering while scrolling etc

I'll try, thanks.
I use the latest updated version of Bridge

I don't find it though
bridgeproxy.exe
Using Kaspersky Internet Security

It´s in the Bridge Folder directly under Bridge.exe. bridgeproxy.exe
