Question

Bridge 2023 freezing

I have no problems with Nik's original Collection Version 1.2.11 in Photoshop 24.5 at all, which works perfectly!

The only issue I am having and like so many others is with Adobe Bridge 2023: for purging RAW files and for Screen Viewing, which still starts to freeze my desktop on Windows 10 when viewing many RAW files within Bridge. And also, every time I exit out from Adobe Bridge 2023, it crashes down and leaves me a dump file.

I have never had this problem last year with Adobe Bridge for editing RAW files and for viewing them.

So, the big? - When will the Adobe Engineers team get back to the basics for Bridge to work within Photoshop normally again?

This is the worst Adobe Bridge 13.0.3.693 for 2023, I have ever encountered from them!

Hi Pw Lucas,

Thanks for your feedback.

Please share the sample file/files on which you are observing the issue and dump file at sharewithbr@adobe.com

Thanks,

Hi Navkamal,

I have already shared a dump file that I sent over to you.

And the problem still remains with getting dump files.

So, for the big question! When will the Adobe Engineers team finally get around to solving this ongoing issue?

My own answer to that big question: Never by the looks of things.

My System: desktop PC ASUS ROG STRIX Z390-F GAMING and all the drivers are up to date.
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-9900K CPU @ 3.60GHz (16 CPUs), ~3.6GHz.
Memory: 32768MB RAM
Graphic card: Radeon RX 580 Series and is up to date.
Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit and is up to date!

And not long ago I upgraded from Photoshop CS6 to Photoshop 24.5.

I've never had any problems or any of these issues with Adobe Bridge 2022 last year at all, Till now.

So, what are Adobe doing about this frustrating issue, that many others like me, you are still experiencing with on here: With this freezing, file synchronisation crashing down and leaving me a dump file?

This seems to be the question and challenge for the Adobe Team to get their acts together and finally sort this out!

This isn't a issue with the Nik Collection.

I've branched your posting and move it to the Adobe Bridge forum.
