Bridge 2023- many of my images and subfolders do not appear in bridge.

Jumping from cs6 to cc2023 on my newer macbook pro running ventura  13.6, I have found that many of my subfolders and many images are not visible in bridge. They are in the finder, but I can't see them in bridge. How do I fix this?
