Bridge/Acrobat Color Discrepancies

Having trouble getting correct color when using "Output" from Bridge to create a PDF.

Worklfow:

I have synced color spaces from Bridge across all Apps (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, etc.)

In Bridge Preferences > Output I have Preserve Embedded Color Profile checked.

In the "Output" workspace I create a multi page document from the JPGs (with embedded ICCs) in Bridge for export as PDF.

The end result PDF colors are duller and darker than the original file.

Now, if I save the original PSD files as PDFs in Photoshop (embedding ICC profiles), then open them in Acrobat File > Create > Combine files into single PDF (in this case), the resulting PDF colors match perfectly.  However, this is a more laborious workaround that I would rather not have to do.

All of this leads me to believe the problem lies in Bridge somewhere, but I can't figure it out.  I often have to create PDFs which contain multiple images for approval so the Bridge workflow is simplest, yet the color issue is creating a problem for me.  Any help would be appreciated.  thanks.

If you search the Bridge forum I believe that you will find that there have been colour management bugs in the last few releases of the output module making it next to unusable for many.
