Bridge/Camera Raw keeps freezing my iMac

I have Big Sur, ever since, I am experiencing the problems of Bridge freezing, then shutting down and restarting my imac. Chatted to Adobe - reset my PS back to 2020 (Though it was Bridge and still is Bridge that is causing the issues).

Now I have to open the image in Bridge and rapidly open PS 2020 (minis all te new tools) just to try and work on an image. 

Big Sur wants an uodate, but I understand there is an issue there too.........You download it and the Mac servers recognise the download request to be the same as you already have and it faails to instal.

Everythinh was working great until I upgraded to Big Sur............. Now its almost Christmas and the customers I hace who wwere purchasing images cnt have them. 

Just a wee bit fed up!!

So far the assistance from Adobe and Apple has been lesss that desirable.

So sorry to hear that Reg. I've been using Photoshop since version 3 and this has been the biggest bug so far that I haven't been able to resolve myself. Luckily I can use my Macbook as a backup where everything works under Big Sur. But I really need to be able to edit on my big screen. Support hasn't been helpful, so I'm hoping somebody in this community has some tips. I noticed that I get a longer run time out of bridge when I turn off preview generation, together with disabling the graphics processor in the performance tab of camera raw.
