Bridge CC 2017 Using Up All Memory (MAC)

I  recently upgraded from CS5 to Photoshop CC & Bridge CC 2017.

When i open bridge cc and select a folder with images it eats my whole 16gb memory then freezes the mac.

It seems to do this when generating previews is shown at the bottom.

My old bridge cs5 uses very little memory.

Anyone help?

Andy

    Hi Andy,

As Bridge is using a lot of memory on your computer when it generates previews, you can uncheck "Generate Monitor-Size Previews" by going in Bridge's Preference > Advanced then relaunch bridge and let us know if it helps.

This was already unticked so thats not the issue. It does have something to do with the previews though as its only when its generating these that it uses all the memory up. Any other ideas?
