Bridge CC 2018 File info panel

Just installed the latest version of Bridge 8.0.0.262, where I found that the Description and Keyword panels (in the Info Panel) cannot be resized

I think this is a major step backwards, as I only a couple of lines can be seen. The colour of the panel is also much darker than before, which makes the text harder to read. Usually have more than 20 lines for my purpose (especially the description panel) and need to see than all at once, which I do by expanding the panel

I wonder if this could be changed - apart from reinstalling CC 2017?

After NINE months of waiting and last update 2 weeks ago Expandable Description field still doesn't work in File Info Panel.

More than 4 months since the new version of Adobe Bridge (2018) was released (and 2 months since last update). I hope Adobe plans to bring back some functionality to the file info panel from Bridge CC 2017? Would be very happy about it. Although I understand that the underlaying structure for the file info panel in the 2018 version is complete different compared to version 2017.

This seems to be a point of recurring frustration amongst Bridge (& Ps) users.  In support of clarification of this problem I add the following comments

Bridge CC 2018 in many respects has taken a massive retrograde step in relation to the 'file info' box

  • By not retaining last template in ‘file info’ box, as in the previous versions
  • ‘file info’ dialogue box does not retain its adjusted shape on reopening of Bridge, as in the previous version.  The default dialogue box size is far too small for use, requiring me to stretch it every time I open Bridge, which can be up to 20 times a day !!
  • no predictive recent keywords as in the previous version.  In fact extending the number of remembered keyword entries would be incredibly useful

Why have these features been cut out (when using MacOS High Sierra) ?  I hope restoration is rapid - it should be simple and straight forward to reintroduce these deleted features, surely

Also, why is there no spellcheck when typing in ‘file info’ box ?

I do hope these simple points are attended to quickly, letting us return to a more effective workflow

Thank you

Nick

Hi,

For resizing Description and Keyword panels, try switching to Preview panel from Publish Panel, and then try resizing.

Thanks,

I think you misunderstood the original question. It is not the Preview Panel, but the new Info Panel, which comes up when you right-click on a picture and choose File info

Hi ,

For the color of the panel please give us the screenshots so that we can help you out. Also you can customize the look of the bridge using  bridge preferences => Interface .

Thanks,

I don't know what to do about resizing the Description and Keywords fields. But you can do something about the colors. If you go into Bridge Preferences and select the Interface panel, you can select a lighter Color Theme or move the User Interface Brightness slider.

thanks for trying to be helpful.

The colour scheme chosen is already light. The new panel is the only one darker than the rest.It should be similar as all other panels, but isn't.
