Bridge CC 2019 Crash in Background Mac Pro

Ever since the Bridge CC 2019 update, Bridge has become chronically, and weirdly unstable. The app will crash in the background, or during Mac Sleep. I will have this crash several times a day. Will come back from a break or errand, and coming out of sleep will find the crash notice. And has ANYBODY EVER gotten a solution from "Adobe is searching for a workaround to this problem." ?

I am running CC on a Mac Pro 5,1 Mid-2010, Mac OS X 10.12.6
Yes, I know. Ancient astronaut here.

Have you had any luck in the mean time to get it sorted out?

I have the same problems here. For at least over a year. Using the latest or older versions. Catalina, Big Sur, whatever.
Months of going back and forth with Adobe support without any help.

They like to blame it on Apple, on your SSD but never on their own code that clearly needs attention.
Bridge is just going crash, crash, crash!

Each update claims they are fixing known problems, what problems? Having to do with Chinese and Latvian language? I too am flummoxed by Adobe's lack of concern.  I am looking at alternative applications that I do not have to pay $120.00 per year for.  Shame on you Adobe!

To just twist the knife, I am a full Creative Cloud user - a professional creative, solo freelancer, locked in due to industry standardization. - i.e. need to share PSD, .AI, .INDD. etc. files with clients, vendors, and colleagues, generate press ready PDFs ... With the recent bump of the subscription price to $79.99 a month, that’s nearly $960/year for the privilege.

In the incessant review pop-ups, I have been downgrading them on the basis that due to the CC subscription price, the apps, despite their power and utility, are only appropriate for working professionals. Students, hobbyists, "pro-sumers", struggling freelancers, small organizations and NPOs are probably better served seeking more affordable third party options.

The least I'd like the gorram things to WORK. Fix some of the chronic issues. And why the HELL does Photoshop, Illustrator, and Indesign have to launch a bloated mini-app JUST to open a new file? I can hit Cmd-N and go get a sandwich and start a pot of coffee. And what was with a completely weird and different open/save interface that kicks the OS File handling interface to the curb in Acrobat DC? No need to fix what wasn't broken!

I have a similar problem with Windows 10. Bridge loads, but for reasons I can't figure out, will start to not load thumbnails form directories. Then it will eventually lock up. I have to force close and delete the cache directory for it to work properly again. But after a while, it starts to not work and crash.

Bridge CC 2019 (latest update from CC)

Windows 10 Intel processor (older I7) Nvidia GTX 780. All up to date drivers, etc.

Dear Users,

Request you to submit crash reports for any crash observed at your end for Bridge CC. This will help us investigate the issue.

Regarding the performance issue, please let us know your workflow in detail along with the information if this is specific to a particular files or folder type.

Regards,

Abhishek Seth.
