Bridge CC 2019 drains my hardrive and crashes the computer

When using Bridge 2019 and exploring photos on my external hdd ant entering some random folder (often old small size photos) my internal drive starts to drain on space. I cannot stop it even by exiting Bridge and when down to 0, yeah, then the computer can't work and it completely freezes. Hard reset is the only option. I have the latest Bride by this date and using Sierra (10.12.6) with my 1 year old MbPro Touchbar.

What can be the problem here? Hdd-drain from Adobe is standard I'm afraid but it can't just continue drain until crash.
