Bridge CC cannot access Camera Raw

Hi Folks!

Seems to be a recurrent topic here, but I just cannot make it work. I want to work on a batch of files in camera raw, opening them using bridge 'Open in Camera Raw' icon or right click and select 'Open in Camera Raw'. I get a dialog box saying:

"Camera Raw editing is not enabled

Camera Raw editing requires that a qualifying product has been launched at least once to enable this feature"

I already tried deinstalling both Photoshop and Bridge (more than once), as well as opening photoshop before opening bridge. I already checked these two threads here: Bridge CC 2017 (PC) unable to open camera raw with button or right click menu  and Camera Raw editing is not enabled , however nothing seems to work.

I am using a windows computer, and I am running the latest versionsof both photoshop and bridge. Any help is highly appreciated!

Thanks for helping,

Daniel

Hi Daniel,

The Parent software for Camera Raw/Bridge is Photoshop because the camera raw plugin gets installed on your system along with Adobe Photoshop(except the latest version).Follow the steps below:

  • Close Bridge
  • Open Photoshop
  • Open an image
  • Select File>>Browse in Bridge

Also, make sure you have compatible versions of Bridge and Photoshop. If this doesn't help, Use Adobe CCleaner tool to remove Bridge and then reinstall it. See Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems

Thanks,

Akash

Hi Akash,

thanks for your reply. I did what you said, including using the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool. Unfortunately, I still get the same problem. This is getting weird.

Best,

Daniel
