Bridge CS6 - Thumbnail labelling sticking on

Please help!

Every time I hover over any thumbnails in CS6 the button description appears and stays on until the program is closed.

This is happening on every thumbnail and is creating a sea of yellow description dialog boxes across my page, the software is fully up to date  and this has only just started occurring since a recent Apple Software update has taken place.
