Bridge doesn't Batch Rename correctly

Mac 10.15.6 Catalina

In Bridge 2020 Batch Rename shows my New filename correctly. But in all the windows in Bridge the filename that results from Batch Rename is wrong. --from 33153 Fl-V-00031.CR2 changed to 33153 Fl-V-^SEQN^.CR2. This also happened in High Sierra.

I called Adobe about this almost a year ago and was told that it was an Adobe bug and would be fixed. So fortunately I kept Bridge 2019 and have had to use it since last winter. Why is this not yet fixed?

There have been several updates and this is still not fixed in Bridge 2020. Batch Rename works fine in 2019. Is Adobe listening?
