Bridge - HDR merge in Camera Raw freezes or takes far too long

Hello, 

lately, when I load images for HDR merges in Camera Raw, the merges take ' forever', which was not a problem before.

Same is happening, when I decide to move images from Bridge to a merge in PS.

In LR it seems to still work faster. But I usually do not use LR.

So, hardware seems to be fine, graphic card with no signs of a problem including driver etc.

Might it be a windows update causing the issue or is it a software problem in the app itself?

 

I can also not uninstail Camera Raw and reinstall ....this would only work by removing the Cloud application and its apps completely and reinstall....weird. Camera Raw is not showing seperately. Maybe wrong installed? Stupid question maybe, but I run out of ideas ...Thanks for any suggestion to solve this 😉

Not sure about the HDR freezing. But you can remove camera Raw by deleting the plugin file, just one file. Then you can reinstall it. I'm not at my computer now, but on Win, it's in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CC\File Formats\Camera Raw.8bi

Hello Chuck, I did that but then it still told me that Camera Raw is up to date in the Creative Cloud App, so I could not reinstall it that way.

so I did the whole lot : uninstall all apps and Creative Cloud and reinstalled it; but the problem with HDR merges in ACR is still there ( also slow transfer to PS is still there for HDR merges there)...Either way, I still have slowed down HDR merge function. Cannot find the reason for it, on my laptop all is OK, but that is brand new , so I am only waiting for it to happen there also, as it used to be OK on my desktop PC in the past 😞
